What a perfect outfit
I’m taking some me time today
I have to work this evening, and I feel like I should be cleaning my house, but first I’m taking some time for me. Here’s my lovely to-do list.
-Sleep in
-Make some green tea
-Take a bath (with the tea)
-Work on a craft
-Actually take the time to do my makeup
After that I’ll get to cleaning before I need to leave for work.
Daily routine - Make a delicious breakfast for you and your family. These look delicious!
How to stay on budget
~If you’re saving for a house long term, search some homes on Zillow. Give them your email and everyday they’ll send you new listings. That’s been a big one for me.
~If you’re paying off debt, go to youtube every morning and watch a debt free scream. I’m not the biggest supporter of Dave Ramsey personally, but I get so motivated listening to people who are finally where I want to be.
~Experiment when something isn’t working for you. Try only carrying cash or never carrying cash. Try moving your budget from a spreadsheet to a cute notebook. What works for your favorite budget-guru might not work for you and that’s okay! Just figure out what does.
~Find your pitfalls and budget for them. I love eating out. I knew it would be hard for me to completely stop, so I added onto my grocery budget. If I want to eat out on the weekend I can, but only if I eat very frugally until then.
~Make a list of “Then and Now”. I really want to cut my hair short. I also want new bedding in my bedroom. And I really want to get my nails done. However I know that those are all large or reoccurring expenses that I don’t have the money for right now. They’re not “needs”. So in my journal I have a running list of what I want when I can afford it, and what I’m going to do until then (have fun with my long hair, make do with my worn sheets, paint my own nails, etc.)
~Have accountability. Be it a partner, a friend, a family member, or an online budget-buddy, keep someone in the know. Talking about money is considered a social taboo, but more people struggle with finances then we’re aware of. Find that person who you can talk freely to!
